Hi Guys

I am trying to connect it up but donno how to set it up.
Ok, firstly i have the lcd tv with a mede8er and my lappie with my 3g adsl router.

my mede8er is already setup for wireless connectivity via the wireless connecion via the router. i can acces the media on the mede8er using the \\ip and the hdd1 comes up. i have connected the lcd tv via lan cable into the router. my question is how do i setup the tv to connect to my mede8er to stream my media to the tv using the dlna function. The mede8er is alreday connection to my other plasma, so i don't want to move the mede8er up and down all the time.

so how do i set it up and get the lcd tv to stream via the mede8er wirelessly. i'm abit dof on these.

on a side note. is there no way to stream stuf via hulu straight for the net to my tv. i have a feeling i need a smsung smart tv to do this.

hopefully you guys can answer my questoins

What are you using as the DLNA server? As far as I know the Medeh8er is a player, not a server... Could be wrong though...

Depends on the model, not all the mede8ers are DLNA server capable

Unlikely to be capable of DLNA serving then I rate, check the model number to be sure ;)

Only model numbers I see for that board on a quick search says no DLNA capability, you'll have to do your own DLNA server using a pc or another capable device

how do i do that. can i use xbmc, plex or any other media server software?

For quick & dirty WinXP MP11 and Win7 MP12 can act as DLNA servers. Just make sure the appropriate directories are referenced by the Library and enable Sharing.

I use Mezzmo as a DLNA server. No codecs to install or anything like that. It just works.

Stream to both LG and Sammy TVs.
