How to watch HD?

I have a Gpu that has HD capabilties and a HD ready tv (720p) which uses a Component input for HD.

How can I get a HD signal from my computer to tv.

The GPU (Geforce 9600GT) has two DVI outputs and S-Video output. It also came with a converter from S-Video to Component but im not sure if that'll just takes the standard definition output and put it into Component.

Any Help would be appriciated

No, not S-Video because S-video doesn't carry enough bandwidth... But I don't think it is a vanilla S-Video output, it just looks like one. S-Video only has 4 pins (and a plastic locator), the connectors on GFX cards usually have more.

Yes the coverter that came with my card looks similar, I guess it will be in HD

Not too bad at 720. I'm going to get one of these HDMI-DVI converters from Builder's Express to see if it's any better at 1080 from the PC - I have a few movies and TV programs that are in HD format, so will be good to see them in full res.

O I Have one of those, it came with my GPU. I hear the difference is only really noticible when your Tv is greater than 40 inchs
