How was your voting experience?

Very pleasant, in and out in 5min. Our voting station was well organized and the staff/volunteers very friendly and professional.

Our station always has queues. We were there at 8 and took us around 1.5 hours. Apparently the station opened late.

Still, we were pleased to get it done early, and the rest of the day to chill.

I don't want to create conspiracy theories, but a cynic might suggest that the IEC doesn't try too hard to fully staff voting areas where the turnout will be high, favouring certain parties due to SA's proportional voting system...

It was very nice as it goes, didn't you know for fukks sakes.
The cat slept at my elbow for most of the day, except when it was time to feed then I was awakened from my slumber with some pretty insistent meows and licking of my hands

Wife and myself unfortunately registered in 2 different wards but no trainsmash

Wife took about an hour at a Primary school in Centurion - was a very pleasant experience and IEC officials were very helpful, especially with the older people

I was in-out within 45minutes at my local church and had a nice chat to a couple IEC + police officials who all seemed in good spirits

Was just reminded how politics divide us more than it seems to unite us

wasnt happy how this sh1tshow in the western cape looks like,
must be the water down here, seriously 2 queues for old people (and fakers) then just before the church they split based on surname letter,
came early, thinking its just like the JHB east rand, where is was almost deserted early and got busy later on,

queues were around the block at 7:30, before the station opened at 8, stood for more than 2 hours in the blazing sun,
coffee shop was doing a roaring trade though, I swear they were on the phone to the Bentley store.

done and dusted at 9:30, but later on just for laughs, swung by the place around 4PM, was completely deserted not even 1 person in queue, felt like I wasted my time, could have shown up like I normally do and been done with this whole charade and not had any queues.

anyway, lets see if it makes any sort of difference or its just another shell game where what you pick makes no difference.

Applied for a special vote as I was travelling. Took me 2 minutes.

Last election it took like 4 hours so a big improvement.

Took less than 5 minutes from getting out of my car to getting back in, went at 15:15. Rural Western Cape has it's privileges.
