ADSL Modems and Routers
There are many different makes and models of ADSL modems and routers available in South Africa. Telkom has historically supplied Marconi ADSL modems and routers, usually free with a 24 month ADSL contract or at a hefty markup if bought outright from Telkom.
Many computer shops and South African websites do sell ADSL modems, it is possible to buy a decent ADSL modem or router for about R500, especially advisable if one wants to opt for the Telkom ADSL Self-Install option and not be tied into a 24 month contract with Telkom.

Telkom use VCI = 8 and VPI = 35.
