Howmuch is your Iburst Usage

Hi All

I have recently applied for Iburst (Giga Package)

Just wanted to know, howmuch data do you normally download in a month on a Giga Package? (After your capped, aka throttled. Being limited to "upto 64K")

So what is the average usages Monthly for Febs/March thusfar ??
 
You're only allowed (or so they suddenly say - as it wasn't the case when I signed up) 20gigs usage a month on 64k. At some random point after that they tend to suspend your account for the month.

That said, find the right sources (iburst growls at torrents but takes *most* http well - I say most because I've recently found them going as far as throttling specific website ips), have a little bit of luck and you'll manage between 10-20 gigs without much difficulty.
 
I'm usually pretty good (+-3GB), but this month and January had me capped pretty early. Currently on 4.2GB.
 
Depending on what I want/need the month, normally 5GB give or take, but i've done the odd 10 - 15GB
 
Its usually to slow after being throttled, I never get to go over 3 gigs on my 500mb playa account.

Ok guys before you all get too excited, this is the crux of it ...

i overlooked to tell you that I only run full speed while uncapped ... i get capped by about day 10 (5 gig Package), thereafter, it runs between 5 and 8kbs. But 24/7 gives me about 300 mb a day. and forget surfing at the same time!

Software I use is Vuze, occasionally the downloads just stop alltogether (quick reboot often helps). I only Use torrents from ThePiratebay.org, and only after reading all the comments and making sure there are enough seeders.

You MUST read the Vuze wiki, they have a fantastic tutorial for setting up/down ratios and working out your true speed potentials. Also I always use RC4 encryption (built into vuze - but you have to set manually).

Plus I'm very sneaky, sneaky !! I run Netlimiter Pro, firewall enabled - this i use to restrict outgoing bandwidth ... he he ... so Vuze and the torrent network presumes you are not throtling your up share ratio!!

Now go and rape that iBurst for all its worth!

how much are you paying if you get 10 - 15 gigs off your 1GB package?
i got a one gig package and wen i get the bill it says i never went over the cap when i can swear i used about 1.5 gigs that month
 
I'm on 5gig package... usually do around 20gigs a month but lately I'm just lazy... swapping over to 4Mbps dsl next month
 
booya,

its 1GB cap (full speed) after which you get slowed down to 64k. there are no extra costs, unless you purchase extra bandwidth to have full speed again
 
I have that extra feature on my iburst account that prevents me from even reaching my cap. Its called degraded service. I still have 1.5Gb to burn... ....slowly... ... .

Shaun Green has been great though. So thumbs up to him on customer service, cant complain there.
