How's these components?

Are these good components for a super budget setup? I know the CPU is great for overclocking but is the ram and motherboard good?
Btw 4 ram slots on the mobo is a must, hence the reason im not going with some crappy G31 mobo.
Im in CT so if any better deals please post it.

Are you planning on upgrading to more than 4GB ram? The E5200 is a great budget processor, but it doesn't have VT support. I would suggest going for the E6300 - has VT and is very overclockable (people have claimed to oc it to 4Ghz). Also, Take2 doesn't have the most competitive pricing - my advice is to check all your components out on jump.co.za or pricecheck.co.za and find the best deal on it. I recently dealt with Sybaritic.co.za and was pleasantly surprised with their efficiency.

Edit- i dont care much about virtualizing technology i dont run virtual machines,maybe virtual box now and then just to see if and unknown app is safe and clean. . .so e5200/e5300 is just fine..

I guess you wont need VT then on win7 home premium, but for a hundred bucks extra you can get a processor with a faster FSB and it can be oc'd to over 3ghz easily - I'm very pro-E6300, because I'm running one.

the thing is with the faster fsb comes a lower multiplier,and with such a low multiplier i would need a mobo that can handle the high OC fsb where as with the e5200 i get a wonderful 12.5x multi or e5300 i get a 13x multi..i dont know how to putit any better but generaly lower end mobos strugle with high fsb (350+)..

Most G31 boards handle ±380 FSB, the P43 will only be better.

The P43 supports 1600mhz FSB via OC iirc.

if u dont care about VT the E5200 is good enough...4ghz isn't hard for it either
