my wife goes through her groupon emails often. now that google splits emails into primary, promotion and social, i've started ignoring everything that doesn't go to primary. :)

today she found two deals: one for mcsa sql and one for oracle

i did an entry level sql 2008 r2 course at the beginning of the year and it was as easy as falling off a bike. i also have an entry level java (se) certificate and now i'm teaching myself c#.

anyone know of this "IT university online"? i'm very keen on programming. i do enjoy having someone lecture me on the language, that way if i get to something i can't wrap my head around, i get to ask questions. someone who teaches usually has a better idea of how to explain something than someone who writes the book.

I would do my homework before signing up with a course on groupon. My cousin signed up for an android course and it was from india. The connection bombed out all the time, there were a host of problems and it was eventually delayed indefinitely. Not saying its the same with this, but like I said, do your homework.

Can't you call Cisco and Microsoft to verify if these guys are legit and accredited training providers?

I did a web development course through groupon, had no issues. Certificate is on it's way.

Also applied for the MS SQL course yesterday, and streaming is perfect, no issues.

Be careful of Groupon, I am waiting almost a year for a refund of R1800. Broken promises and lies. Just look on Hellopeter.

i actually haven't had any problems with groupon things. sort of. we did a zipline tour thing at ballito and cupcakes for a baby shower from a lady in glenwood area. both good.

only a delay on some wall art my wife got. the place hasn't come back to her on the item. today they said they moved to a new place and then got robbed and lost all their computers. :S but assured her friday it'll be done.

sql and oracle courses are generally popular with companies offering jobs and for R800 each this sounds like it might be worth a go. but we'll need to get the internets at home first. not sure if these courses give you the actual tests at the end or if it just prepares you.
