Is there any chance you two are based in the same area? Could you please PM with your email addresses or provide me with more information regarding the issues in a private chat?

Just drizzles today bought 3 different routers in the past 5 days and nothing

Been one of the few people pushing rain since we broke 4G speeds of 80mbps down and 17 up. But it has been declining over the months to the point its excitable when its over 25 down and 4 up. Have been recording and it's gone down around 10mbps per a month. Just hoping 25 is the limit. Since for R250 that's a big bonus.

Even the rain 24/7 used to pump a constant 11 or 15. Now that dips to 7 sometimes. I get it but now there is another unlimited package out there for phones only. Should just expect the network to get even worse who knows.

Also we have line of sight, 800m, a B618 and a Poynting XPOL 6 (excuse the pun) pointing at the tower with 2600 and an snr of 8-10. So I don't know how more ideal our setup can get.

Otherwise before the last few months, rain has been fantastic and a life saver.

Damn you lucky getting over 1Mbps, haven't seen that in the last 8 months.

We get speeds between 0.19mbs to 0.59mbs in Pietermaritzburg, Northdale area. I was told to reboot device, insert SIM in the correct slot as the towers are functioning. Move device around even though I have full signal. Basically it's my fault that speeds are slow. After pointing out that I am in the IT industry, I was advised that no further solutions or infrastructure upgrade is allocated to our area to resolve the issue. This took about 5 months for Rain to acknowledge their network sucks. I have no fibre or DSL in my area. Rain is operating like the Taxi industry. Overloaded, full fees and no care for customer service especially in areas where there is little alternative. I have logged complaints with ICASA also a waist of time.Screenshot_2020-10-22-17-30-11-916_com.android.chrome.jpg
