Hi guys
I put together this guide because I couldn't find anything comprehensive of the net and I wanted the Night Elf mount. My plan was to get there by level 40 but it is clear that it can be done by level 32.
Let me know what you think or how I could tweak it to be more accurate. I have put it together largely from memory.

I was wondering if it would be possible to get exalted with Darnassus before level 40 so I decide to give it a try.
This is what I did to the best of my memory and I got exalted and level 32 at the same time.
In order to do this I used my Draenei Priest and apart from the early Draenei quests I tried to only do quests that gave reputation points with Darnassus. This slows down your leveling considerably unless you have a slightly higher level friend to help you in some of the missions.
It probably didn't help that I was playing a priest as it is not the best class for soloing and many times I had to find help for quests that were yellow for me. More combat oriented classes would not have the same problem.
The first DR quests I came upon were on Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isle and are available around level 8. Depending on which faction you are playing you can get to them earlier or later.
These will give around 3000 points.
I then moved onto the Night Elf Starting point Teldrassil
I recommend compiling a list of all the quests the give rep and crossing off them as you complete them as this will ensure that you don't miss anything. This is a good place to work from http://thottbot.com/f69#A::A
You should get around 10000 points there
After there you can go to Darnassus and pick up around 2000 points on various quests. There are a few that you need to come back for but these are often part of a chain from other areas. Remember that if you can't find the start of the quest use Allakhazam and check what the prerequisites for the quest are.
Next stop is Darkshore. There is another 10 000 points on offer here so don't leave until you have finished all of them. The Tower of Althalaxx gets very tough at the end and you are going to need help cleaning out the Tower for the final part of the quest.
After Darkshore you move onto Ashenvale: Another 8 000 points here.
One quest in Ashenvale will send you to Stonetalon Mountains. 1100 points here
While you are in Ashenvale make sure you run Blackfathom Depths. There are four quests for this dungeon which will add about 1350 points to your rep. Remember when a quest gives rep with multiple factions only the largest amount shows up.
The final part of the first section is Desolace. Pick up the quest chain that starts with Vahlarriel's Search and you should have an extra 1100 rep.
All of these zones fall naturally together but you will have to go further afield to pick up the rest.
You should be pretty close to Exalted right now just 2500 or so to go. This is where the slog begins I did quests in Duskwood 400 or so, Westfall a hundred or so and one or two little ones in Stormwind.
I did not turn in any cloth but you can pick up some points for the wool and silk quests before level 30.
There is also the In Nightmares quest in the Wailing Caverns that give 250 rep and some in the Deadmines (a logical extension of Westfall)
