Hi everybody.
My HP 530 Laptop continues to reboot over and over if the main power supply cable is plugged in, and if it is unplugged from the supply, and i push the power on button it does the same but only once, or until i press the power button again.
All of this while the screen is totally blank, so there is no bios screen, POST or anything to tell me whats going on.
No beeps either, only thing i can see is that the light on the front panel is flashing 8 times when the AC power cable is connected, and 6 times when it is disconnected and running on the battery.
According to the HP forums, that indicates insufficient power supply and low battery voltage.
I have checked the power supply and it is supplying 18.5volts and that is right output spec on the power supply i have been given with the laptop.
Does anybody know what voltage and current supply is necessary for the HP 530 Laptops?
