My colleague has an HP Pavilion DV6 3080si laptop. He got a 120 Watt HP charger with it and wishes to buy another one for use at home (so that he can leave his charger plugged in at work).
We could only find this one, which is an HP adapter but 180 W (there's also a couple of 90W and a 240W).

It seems like it uses the same pin, but we're unsure whether that would work with the machine. Does anybody know if the HPs all use the same voltage (19v) and connector, but differs with output current? And can you thus buy a higher wattage adapter and still use it?
EDIT: I have a 90W one and it seems to work - says that it will have sub-optimal performance due to insufficient power.
