I have just ordered my HP Microserver n40l, and I am soooo excited :D

i know there is a thread for the HP MS, but I was just scared, my post will get lost in all those posts!

I see the MS has the following two slots:

1 x PCI Express x16 (half-height / half length slot)
1 x PCI Express x1 (half-height / half length slot)

If i buy a GFX card, got a price on (Asus GeForce 210 Silent 1GB DDR3 PCI-e
Graphics Card EN210SILENT/DI/1GD3/V2(LP))

Which according to http://www.myhtpc.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Graphics_cards it will fit.

My question is, can the GFX card be installed in the x16 and x1 slot? or is it only going to work in a specific one?

Thanks,

Then one last question, if I install a GFX with HDMI, that will feed both video and audio, do I still need a soundcard, or is the sound part completely handled by the GFX card.

Im a bit n00b with these things ;p

Correct, HDMI is both audio and video. You don't need a separate sound card.

It will fit providing that the card comes with a low profile bracket, even if it doesnt, you can get one easily from esquire or where ever.
