HP Proliant Micro server Questions

Right so I bought one of these puppies this morning and can't wait for it to be delivered.

I have a few question though... I will be using it as a NAS server so no need for addning a graphics card. I however want to upgrade the RAM. From what I read online it seems you can go ECC or non-ECC. What would you guys suggest? I looked at the following three options for example

Further more I am planning to run the OS from a flashdrive. Whould you reccomend this and if so which flashdrive?

I recently tried using win7 on a Class 4 SD card in the HP and worked fine hay. So think a faster flash stick might be just the ticket
