HP ProLiant MicroServer

Ok so the little flirc'ie works great, only thing im missing is when in xbmc file manager i usually right click with my esquire wireless mini keyboard then i get the copy/move/rename etc menu.
How do i assign that to a key on my remote with flirc?
This is only thing i am missing, not a major issue but would be useful to have.

Assign a button on your remote for C on the keyboard and check if that works.

+1

I think someone has done it but not with flirc, can't remember who it was though.
Must be a few pages back....

can be done with thie Isoic remote which has been sold out for few months now at biosonline
they didnt reply when I enquired about new stock

it had extra jumper cables that u attach to motherboard to control for power on

My understanding of the remote is that it simulates usb hid. So if you can power on the system via usb keyboard, you should probably be able to power on using the flicr. Sorry can't test as I don't own a HP.

Anyone know of any microservers on special (Cape Town)? Thanks!

Speak to Graham or Allison in Cape Town Branch - tell them to give it to you at the last week special price , they got stock on Monday -We planning to do a repeat of last specials again this week as we still got plenty of stocks

Hyperian:
What do you want to do with that much memory in the HP Microserver?

I've now ordered 4x 8GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz CL10 (http://www.wootware.co.za/g-skill-f...gb-ddr3-1600mhz-1-5v-cl10-desktop-memory.html) for my desktop PC. If we're not using our office's N40L, I'll see if I can quickly boot if up with 2x 8GB modules.

It is flippen madness that you can get DDR3 RAM that cheap! R1600 for 32GB - which is almost the same as what I paid for my 30GB SSD 2 years ago!
Like it now set us back about R4700 for 16GB (4x 4GB) DDR2 667 Fully Buffered ECC server memory :(

Pada, I want to install Windows Server 2012 and run a few VMs on it (one being for SQL Server, so 2GB to Data Services and 2GB for Analysis Services). I remember paying R1100 for a 128MB stick back in the day. I was thinking of transforming my aged desktop for this purpose but it will only take DDR2 667/800, so it seems cheaper to get a microserver and try jack the ram (even if it's only to 8GB).

Still haven't received my Flirc. Thinking that snub on insurance might cost me :(

I had to collect at the post office, it's not coming to your house, why on earth wouldn't you just give twenty bucks extra for insurance and tracking.
