HP ProLiant MicroServer

The actively cooled ones are generally thinner than some of the passively cooled ones, so it should fit if that's what you mean by cause problems. It will be a little noisier than passive, but other than that should not cause any problems.

Maybe ask them if you can return it if it does not fit.

I have a HD5450 and it works perfectly on Openelec... Both the version 1 and then new version 2 beta (1.95) Openelec EDEN..

I made a copy of an existing .conf file then copied and pasted the settings in the link and booted and it worked.

Thank a mil.

I got mine delivered yesterday from cybernatic.co.za to Cape Town.
They have combos with extra ram or graphics cards as well.

Thanks. I saw their offer. Hadn't heard of them before. They have some interesting offers, starting with this one :)

Good day

I am interested in either of the following :

http://www.takealot.com/electronics...phics-card-gt210-512mb-64bit-gddr2-pc,5391559

or

http://www.takealot.com/electronics/pc-components-1111/gigabyte-gt210-1gb-ddr3-graphis-card,10795297

I need to make use of this for a media server for displaying High definition MKVs on my hard drive to my Sony Bravia TV.

I noticed that both these cards have low profile brackets, but the 512MB version is the only one recommended on myhtpc.co.za. The 1GB version includes the low profile bracket but I'm not sure if it fits into the Proliant Server. Please advise :)

1GB is hundreds. Using it in one of my HP's.
Try go for the GT520 though. Not only does it offer more grunt, but it supports Cuda technology. Cuda will help with video conversion and take some load off the CPU.

Yes they are basically the same But the gigabyt come with 3 year warranty and the MSI is about 12 MIL longer than the Gigabyt but it fits fine .
I suppose the R100 extra covers the extra warrenty

ok thanks
so the cards will have the same performance then
only physical looks will be different and ofcourse warranty will be dependant on manufacturer
