Started scraping 1TB of series an hour ago and its only at C now!
Damn this will take a while, but I'm sure its worth the wait.

....
Any ideas? I'm just playing around in the BIOS now...
Im not running any gfx card. Its just a dl pc not using it as a htpc yet. Just cant hit 1080P. Wierd thing iis it says 1920x1080 when I remote into it.
Another thing is that despite changing the onboard video mem to 64/128/256 in the bios. it still shows as 16mb in windows.
Don't want to get a gfx card just yet but might just have to.
I am also going to install WHS2011 as Server 2008 R2 is overkill
Why didnt you just install openelec?I am 80% of the way done with creating a Win7 Ultimate x64 USB boot key and going to load this along with Plex on my HP. This XBMC stuff is cr@p. Fiddle here, tweak there, script this, log that... Sorry. I want to watch movies. Not stuff around.
I am so annoyed that I actually wasted a portion of my life creating an XBMC Ubuntu USB key and installed it. What turned me right off was the file browser to access movies and no sound over HDMI on the GT210. On my HP upstairs I have Win7 Ultimate with a GT210 and EVERYTHING works. Machine is solid as a rock.
Install windows. Load drivers. Load Plex. Watch movies. All works. Sorted![]()
Why didnt you just install openelec?
I have this problem as well. I've ordered a USB sound card to see if i can get 3.5mm audio out.
Yeah ReFocus is really beautifull, ive been telling you guys for months since my ultimate tv experience thread!
Refocus also makes pseudotv look amazing
argh typed out a longer reply but my phone lost it! Anyway install was simple for me being a noob and the guides from keeper and milkman helped alot. but your setup looks sweet too. but a bit overkill for me at the moment. i only have one tv so openelec is perfect. woukd like to see.I looked at that last week. Created the USB key, then used that to create the OpenELEC key. Stuck it in my machine and booted. I got some error about XBMC files blah missing. I just formatted my key back to it's original state and left it.
When it comes to my Android devices and stuff I love to mess around. When it comes to my movies, I just want to watch. From what I have seen, both XBMC and OpenELEC can be very fiddly if they don't work correct off the bat. I have done 4 Plex setups already and all of them worked straight away. Plex also seems to offer a lot more functionality than both XBMC and OpenELEC, so just going to stick with it.
EDIT: From what I can see, OpenELEC is still just XBMC at the end of the day anyway?
Am I missing something with XBMC?
I select Videos, then Files and I browse my collection in a standard file browser?
How do I get XMBC to actually show the series name instead of s01e01? Also, where is the synopsis on movies, ratings, etc..?
It says it is scraping info for my files but to me I am just seeing a plain on file browser. The only picture I see is a thumbnail from the selected video.
I am feeling a bit dumb here. Surely XBMC offers more than this?
First thing I am missing is "Unwatched", "On Deck", etc..
