HP ProLiant MicroServer

Thanks, that is much better than the offiicial app, lockscreen support is awesome

Lockscreen doesn't work on sammy rom. Dammit.

Features:

* Don't have to confirm youtube send to xbmc
* Search for a show/movie (enable instant filter in settings). I find I don't navigate on xbmc anymore.
* Download a local copy of the library index
* Lockscreen controls
* Add-on notification (you can set any app to send notifications to xbmc, like whatsapp)

Apparently custom buttons are coming.

Maybe try a custom ROM, lockscreen half works on my S2, but its awesome on a nexus 7 since you can add it as a lockscreen widget

guys, if any of you is running something like the following together with Plex, pls let me know:

AMD A6 5400K Dual Core FM2 CPU + Stock AMD Fan
Asrock FM2A75M-ITX
G.Skill 2x4gb DDR3 Sniper Low Voltage (1.25v) 1600mhz Memory Kit

I had to downgrade from OpenElec 2.9.5 beta to 2.0.0 stable. I love Frodo but still a bunch of incompatibilities that is making the experience a bit frustrating.

The downgrade process went very smoothly though - just pop the four necessary files in the upgrade folder and restart. It kept copies of my old library files (Frodo uses different library format), just had to update to get my latest stuff and voila.

Some things that are causing frustrations for me with the new beta:

1. YouTube plugin not working properly.
2. Supersport plugin not working at all.
3. Put.io plugin not working.
4. Update library commands used by Sickbeard/Couchpotato don't yet work with Frodo notifications system. Had to manually update library the whole time.

Other than the above things, Frodo is overall much better than the current release. Will try again if above issues are addressed.

have my MS currently streaming to flat via a NAS/HTPC consisting of an i3-540 and must say, Plex is making that thing work as the server.

was now considering go for that AMD setup but it's also a dual core which is same as the i3-540

Ja, MS not the right machine for a Plex server role. My MS is only a client end, does nothing but play content.

That AMD CPU is more powerful than the one in my Plex server, but depending on what else you want to do on the server you might want to add a bit more juice. What you looking to spend?

I tried Frodo but there was a distinct lack of skin support and I really don't like the bog standard skin, so reverted back to Eden. The lack of SS plugin support means it is out though for my house. I'm happy on Eden for the time being until someone can fix the code for the SS plugin to work on Frodo. I read that there is a problem with most plugins though, so I'm assuming (hoping) that there will be a simple fix...

I actually looked trying to see what was wrong with the SS plugin, but standard XBMC logging wasn't giving me enough information (no errors, nothing). Will have to put on more verbose logging and climb in there but don't have time so also just reverted back.

I was using the Quartz skin (based on Apple TV skin) on Frodo and it worked fine, didn't try any others. I have grown quite fond of this skin now as it's clean and runs smooth.

The plugin story on Frodo is a mess at the moment though, so looks like any plugins that aren't still being actively worked on will not work with the new release.

Haven't tried out Quartz yet, but reFocus Big and MQ4 don't work properly on Frodo. Skin developers' issue, I understand. But they've become my defacto skins around the house now. I've spent too much time figuring them out and customising them to move on for the sake of it.

To be honest, I didn't notice anything very different on Frodo. I tried to read the changelog but it was like a list of geek terms from a Star Wars convention...:o

I bought a new HDD for my MS. What is the best file system to format is to? NTFS or will openelec format it to its own type of file system? This drive will only have media on.

And also,I tried to make a openelec usb key but there is no autorun.ini file in the folder instead there is a ldlinux.sys file. I can't get the usb drive to format to fat16, only fat32.

Any help please

OK... I have a "Dumb" question. I have shared many drives over a network before and all have worked without problem. So last night I decided to share each of the HDD's in my MS so I can connect to them on my laptop or PC to add new files ect. I go into each HDD, select share ect and apply the changes. It gives me the network path and when I try connect to it from my other PC, it tells me it does not exist? Both the MS and PC are on the same home network and sharing is enabled. The MS is running Windows 7 Ultimate and so is the PC. Has anyone got any ideas to help me get this working? I know its probably going to be something so simple but I can't think of the problem (holiday season and all, but that is no excuse)!

Quick note: The Point of View GeForce GT610 1G from Esquire, does not come with a LP bracket, so make sure to add one to your shopping list if you buy it.

Yes saw the specs on the mew n45l but it's just a slight cpu bump and nothing much else. Disappointing
