HP's WebOS tablet event.

New devices: the HP Veer, Pre 3 and Touchpad.

Veer: 360x400 2.6" screen, 800mhz Snapdragon, mobile hotspot, gps. Same memory as the Pre2.

Pre3: Qualcomm 1.4 Ghz processor, 3.6-inch 800 x 480 display. Snapdragon 7230 processor, they say they're the first to use it

TouchPad:1.5 pounds, and 13.7mm thick. It has a 9.7-inch 1024 by 768 display. Supports video calling and Beats Audio technology by Dr Dre :D

It's dual core, 1.2Ghz. 1GB of RAM.

Looks like webOS is a great tablet system.
 
Hp just blew every tablet out of the water. Now they just needs apps.

if this worked with any phone....they would have a killer tablet feature

was planning on getting a xoom...hmm..now I dont know?
think they might be some more tablets announced at MWC...probably all running honeycomb.

so honeycomb or webos?
 
Only coming in "summer" - gonna be an uphill battle against iPad 2 and the XOOOOOM
 
on a side note...why isn't there a separate section for tablets...maybe a sub forum in the pc/phone section?

Yeah it will, but the important thing is we are seeing real innovation. Everytime anyone does something interesting it automatically gets absorbed into the competing products. The whole touchstone, touch to share stuff if very cool.

Soon you will be able to simply swipe/throw your app instance between your pc, tablet, or phone, without docking or thinking about syncing. Basically the continuous client idea.
 
tablets... meh... fuss over nothing... bigger cellphones

They take a netbook, chop off the only useful thing a netbook has the keyboard(lets face it their specs suck). Then they go "omg you guys i totally know how to make this thing even more useless... lets load wait for it... a cellphone OS on it!!" TOTALLY U GUYS!

My dad asked me the other day about the ipad... "I need to stay current with technology son" My answer: "what can it do that you can do already?" His answer wait for it... "I can print all my photos" "Dad IT CANT EVEN PRINT!!" WHAT WHAT WHAT?
Usb stick? "NO DAD"
Connect my camera "NO DAD"
"Isn't it a small computer?"
NO I SAID **** NO!
