hey,

not sure if this is the correct place for this, feel free to move it if it isn't.

so, over the last few days, i've noticed a massive lag issue whilst playing world of warcraft. http browsing is about the same. I'm using a a K3520 usb modem and pre-paid 2g data bundle. prior to the problem i had no problems when playing wow, my latency was an average 400-600ms, now, over the last week, i've been getting latency of about 2200ms. my modem is connecting at 75% strength on the hsdpa network as per normal. oh, i'm also in the bryanston area.

So i was just wondering if vodacom's throttled our wow traffic or if there's something else?

thanks and cheers

I've been experiencing some latency spikes in wow myself, and so have most the people in our guild. I'm in a wee wittle town though so I wont be surprised if im the only dude on the net at night. :D

Maybe do a format and reload. It might not fix your problem, but will keep you busy :p

Seriously though, do you have any firewalls etc? I realised my firewall started acting up with my antivirus, so i disable the one, my internet works perfectly. Means a uninstall, delete all registry entries for me each time. Moved to Windows 7 and that fixed it all up. :)
