HTC 3400 as modem for Internet connection?

I would love to connect my laptop to the internet using my cell phone as a modem. Been unsuccessful although my cell phone browses without a problem. Any help will be appreciated

Just install the active sync application on your computer, connect your phone and go to programs - internet sharing. I've never had a problem with mine.

Thanks Amida - I've tried before and gave up, but I'll try again tonight. Will it work with Vista? after I've found out to get Vista to accept Active sync.

Vista uses Windows Mobile Device Center and not active sync. You'll have to download that to get it working.

I'm currently using the phone on windows 7 and that even works like a charm.
