Hi,
I was using the MIUI rom and everything had been going fine for a few weeks then suddenly last night whenever I used any app the screen would just go completely black. I did a factory reset and whenever I tried to start up after that I would get stuck on the white screen with the green HTC sign. I then booted into recovery and reloaded the ROM from which I got it to boot up but then as soon as I restart it I get stuck on the HTC screen. I have wiped everything including my SD Card. Any other advice?

Thanks in advance

You running Ap2SD ?

Reason I ask is I found a problem with last MIUI and Ap2SD

Then your problem might relate to hardware, only odd things is that it normally would go into a reboot loop.

To test, just flash another ROM like say stock or even CM 7.0, make sure you clear all memory and cache.

Good thing is you can still flash so you will still be able to book it in for repairs.

If I can still flash should I be able to get it back to stock and book for warranty repairs?

How would I go about this? The phone is MTN stock. Is there anywhere I can read up on how to find the right ROM and how to turn root off and going back to stock boot loader?

Thanks so much, anyone on MTN care to help on which to download please?

I'll search so long though

Ok, I flashed back to stock and it seams the problem is now gone which is odd considering i loaded a few roms to try get it to work.

Thats what I thought, as hardware normally reboot loops

What version did you flash?

I normally follow CM's how-to's

I still think you have something strange going on there, it still might be hardware or even something wrong with the SIM. Would be intresting to find out.

Have you Google'ed the failing to boot problem at all?

Flashed this: RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.exe

I now have S-OFF and root, no issues so far. Can't really take the phone in if its working. Will wait and see if that issue comes back.
