At least the difference between 2.2 and 2.1 isn't as big as the difference between 2.1 and 1.6. Hopefully SE picks up their game in time for gingerbread, else I think there are going to be a lot of unhappy customers.

2.2 is a huge improvement, not so much feature-wise (although there are cool features), but speed-wise. It's way faster due to the JIT interpreter. Benchmarks are 3-5x faster. The browser is at least 50% faster.
