I've read a few reviews, and the HTC Desire Z sounds like a good phone, and it might be time for me to experiment with a new phone.

So if you have this phone... any complaints?comments?

and if i want to take it, on which network will it be best? my contract has expired, and is running on the month to month cycle, so i'm free to go to whatever network i choose.

Recommendations please !

EDIT: as requested, i'm looking at R500 - R600 a month, use my phone quite a lot.

I have a blackberry, that i will use for work, and i want use this as my personal phone.

Well seeing that you did not state your budget or call habits or even what data connections you have access to we can only guess....
My advice: get the phone from whatever SP you can get it, well that is if you can get one from what I hear stock is a tad hard to come by.

Get a Cell-C woosh(sim only) and either go pre-paid 12 months and load air time if you don't call allot or add a call package to the card if you take it on contract. Smartphones lately looove data and to have full functionality it would be great to not drip feed them. From maps to apps to push mail they all love data.

Or just use wifi. I use my wifi at home and at work on my Desire HD. Mobile data never gets used. Only in extreme emergencies.
