Hi all
I am now really struggling with this phones mms!! Don’t get me wrong, I love the phone but the fact that my mms does not work is really getting to me.
I have browsed the internet for settings with no luck! Does anybody also have a hero on Vodacom contract with the correct mms settings?

I have removed and re-typed the settings in with no luck. My internet is working 100%

Please help!

If you tell me where to check the settings I'll do it for you. Hero on Vodacom.

Have you tried it with Handcent Sms? Best SMS app ever.

APN maybe?

Name: Vlive! MMS

APN: mms.vodacom.net

Proxy: 196.006.128.013

Port: 8080

MMSC: http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za

MMS proxy: 196.006.128.013

MMS port: 8080

MMS protocol: WAP 2.0

MCC: 655

MNC: 01

APN type: mms

Is this what you need?

On the Hero the apn's are here : Settings, Wireless Controls, Mobile Network Settings, Access Point Name.

That is how myne was setup from the day I received it. Never worked

I have 3 APN's confugured

Vlive!
Internet
Vlive! MMS

Have changed and deleted them with no luck. Stil am unable to download mms.

With my phone, the mms and internet apn is the same.
Delete all apns except the Internet one. Then modify the internet one to include mms settings. So fill in these three entries:
MMSC: http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
MMS proxy: 196.006.128.013
MMS port: 8080

Leave all other settings as they were.
It should work now. My phone had the same issue, but everything works fine now.

Thanks Nuro

But no luck !!

This is how my APN is setup now.

Name: Internet
APN: Internet
Proxy: not set
Port: not set
Username: not set
Password: not set
Server: not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
MMS Proxy: 196.00.128.013
MMs Port: 8080
MMS Protocal: WAP 2.0
MMC: 655
MNC: 01
APN Type: not set

I have logged a call with HTC, they reckon I need to reset the phone again. But I have installed so many applications that I do not want to delete.

Does any body els struggle with the same issue ?

Never configured any settings and my MMS always work. Even after wipes and new ROMS.. Very weird!
