Anyone have any idea when, and on which network we can expect to see the HERO arrive??


I am tempted to buy one from eBay, but i'm due for an upgrade soon anyway.
 
we can expect the Hero to be here by september. am following up and will hopefully have details soon.
 
You can get an unlocked one starting at about R4600 ( 350GBP ) form a buy it now listing , or you can try try your luck with an auction.
 
I e-mailed Leaf and a sales executive replied saying that they will probably be getting it by September but they have no definite date.
 
I can't help but cringe every time I see the hero and that upturned bottom section, I mean why? It looks like a mix between an iPhone and one of those old Motorola’s the oak on CSI uses. :sick:
 
Anyone know which network will be offering the hero ?

Interestingly it's available on all three networks. On MTN AT350 it costs R473pm on a financed option. So yes, its seems it is avaiable.

Available like I can order one and wait two months for it to arrive or available like I can have it tomorrow?
 
Probably the former. We wait for anything and everything these days, not so? It frustrates me that whatever I ask for get's the same reply ... "Sorry sir, ...".
 
Called Nashua mobile, they haven't got stock, but expecting within a week.

I hope this is true I'm dead keen to get this phone!!

Is it available on both mtn and vodacom? The dream and magic were each exclusive to only one of the networks.
 
Trying to coerce my girlfriend into getting this phone :) I just got a 3GS but I want the best of both worlds!
 
Yeah, plus the 3.5mm headphone jack, 5 Megapixel camera, the fancy teflon chasis and the "chin", but the insides are basically the same.
