HTC Kaiser

Clove.co.uk is accepting pre-orders for the Kaiser here.

ÂŁ581.62 inc VAT

Expected to ship in June 2007 (When in SA?)

Well...one of the most awesome thing about the kaiser is it will have the qualcomm MSM 7200 cpu

http://www.mymobile911.com/dnn/Default.aspx?tabid=36&EntryID=56

It contains much more hardware acceleration for everyday features like: fast video playback, graphics, gps, and imaging for the 3mp camera

So it will be alot faster than the TyTn and also consume less battery power :) according to the specs the stanby time is twice that of the TyTn

Don't be too surprised by the comments you read about the battery life, because the battery life sucks big time.....:o

Yeah, but one can tweak the TyTn to get proper battery life. I actually do it using Kaiser Comm software.

Most reviews on the net are predicting (some of them confirming) that AT&T will be releasing the Kaiser as the AT&T Tilt on 3 September.

Here are some screenshots taken from the supposedly complted ROM for the AT&T Tilt. Enjoy.

I also have an unofficial confirmation that Leaf will be releasing/importing the phone in September as well. That is obviously not to say that it will have been approved by MTN or Vodacom.

I'm dying here. My current i-mate Pocket PC Phone Edition is starting to show it's age. It's about 3.5 years old now and has served me very well in that time. The problems I have is with trying to obtain a new battery or stylis or charger. Although Leaf was the original importer of the device, they claim that they now only support HTC. Nobody at Leaf seems to hear me when I tell them that the i-mate is a re-branded HTC and that they were the original importer of the device.
