HTC - Leaf loses their appeal againsts ASA ruling.

At a meeting held on 29 September 2008 the Advertising Standards Committee (“ASC”) considered an appeal by Leaf Communications on behalf of HTC (“HTC”) against a ruling of the Directorate on a complaint that Mr JH Potgieter (“Potgieter”) had lodged against HTC regarding advertising on packaging for cellular phones which states “Built-in GPS navigation



In the circumstances, the ASC upholds the ruling of the Directorate. The appeal is dismissed, and the appellant forfeits its appeal fee.
