HTC Magic MMS Settings

Anyone know how i can setup my magic with the correct settings, i tried entering them manually and each time i try to download an mms it says unsuccessful, i have also attempted to request the settings via the ussd code, and well the settings never get sent to me.. any help would be appreciated.

Also has anyone hacked there SPL 0010 firmware to 2009?

Dont think you get mms settings for the magic on mtn. My wife has the htc dream (from mtn), and she cannot send or receive an mms on vodacom. According to vodacom, these phones' mms only work on the network originally intended. Dream = MTN and Magic = Vodacom

Damm, so much for trading in my Dream for a Magic - I'm on MTN...

What if we update the Magic with the new firmware w/ Sense UI? Won't it make it an unbranded phone in effect?

Well from what vodacom has told me, and of course they could be lying through their teeth, is that, the dream, downloads the mms settings from an mtn server when it connects, you cannot add it manually, and thus you cannot use vodacom settings, as it only works with the settings it automatically downloads.

Now this might be hogwash, but so far my wife has not had any success

i have hacked my phone to run the sense ui, still no dice with mms settings.

If you need help, phone 808 and ask to be transferred to 1555, don't phone them directly as it won't work.
