HTC ONe M8 files not showing in Windows Explorer

When I plug my HTC phone into my PC, the phone shows up as a portable media player and shows only three folders in the internal storage (nero sync; android and ringtones). Anyone know how I can get all folders to show up? I've ensured all folders show hidden files, I've deleted and reinstalled htc sync. Nothing helped.

Have you checked your mount options under storage in the device settings menu?
