Hey all,

Anyone had any experience with getting an HTC One X screen replaced? My room mate dropped his and it's pretty much shattered. Still works but it's seen better days :)

quote i got from regenersis (they were the place HTC said i must take it to) for my one X was approximately R 2 100 (that was around March 2012. wasnt too bothered as i was due for an upgrade, so took it to a dude at one of the china malls to fix it cost about R1000 but after a couple of months the accelerometer stopped working (so no auto rotate) (gave the phone to my daughter to use for games)

Is it the screen or just the touch plate? It would be a lot cheaper if it's just the touch plate.

Thanks, will give them a call and see :)

I'm hoping it just that glass on top. There's a pretty bad crack at the top just above the screen though but the phone is still very usable over the cracked areas.

I take it the LCD hasn't leaked then? If that's the case then it's most likely that you just need a new digitizer (one of these). They're really cheap, so your cost to replace it would be mostly labour.
