I'm curious, can the Windows Mobile software be upgraded easily? I had a HTC Touch with MS Windows Mobile Professional software which is much better than my newer HTC Snap with MS Windows Mobile Basic Software. Nice phone, preferred my Touch (maybe it's just about software) but I have no choice - company phone, will have to live with it.
garyb01, my next step is google, but if you have the answer I'll appreciate it![]()
You're going to be out of luck on the WinMo Pro issue, as it requires a device with a touchscreen. As for Garmin, you should probably stay off a site called mobilism.org... piracy is wrong.

If your phone came with windows mobile 6.1 standard, the Snap can be upgraded to 6.5 via the leaf.co.za site, although there is not much difference in what it offers. For a great experience on the Snap go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=502. I have flashed these ROMS and the user experience is great, however I must warn you that if you do that, you will not be able to go back to the custom HTC Rom again.
Another good option would aslo be SPB mobile shell, something to look at if you interested in changing the look and feel of the phone.
My phone came with MS Windows Mobile 6.5 Standard. I had the HTC Touch with MS Windows Mobile Pro and just found it better for business purposes and unfortunately the company I work for doesn't give us a choice in what company phone we receive.
I'll check out the link, thanks for the tips![]()
