Have any of you guys purchased/downloaded gps software for this phone?
If yes:
Which ones?
How good is it?
Price?

and where would help hehehe.

Thanx in advance.

I've used a trial version of HandyMap (on the handymap website you will see there is a link for the TD version). This works pretty well but it's expensive to buy.

I'm currently using Nav4All and it works pretty well although it's not as fancy as HandyMap but it does get you from point A to point B with arrows on the screen and it's completely free (but it does use a small amount of data to download the map sections)

HandyMap: http://www.handymap.co.za/
Nav4All: http://www.nav4all.co.uk/ (does include South African maps)

How did you get Nav4all to work? I cant get past the "enter email" screen.

I had that problem aswell. Took me a while to figure out that for some reason Nav4All does not like the compact qwerty keyboard on the Diamond. You have to first set the keyboard to full qwerty in (you can do this in the SMS screen). Then when you load Nav4All you'll be able to enter you email address etc. and continue.

You will need to use the full qwerty keyboard everywhere else in Nav4All aswell. A bit annoying but it does work.

struggling

hey,

I have a touch diamond, and im struggling with this GPS thing..

I have Nav4All, when it says "No GPS sensor has been set up. Set up now?"

And I say yes, it goes to Searching....

Finds the device: Serial GPS via gpd0, but then at the end says
"No Bluetooth GPS Sensor Found"

Is this working properly? What settings must the "External GPS" in the HTC Settings be?

Also, if I wanted to buy software which is best?

Any help will be much appreciated...

Thanks

tomtom 6. if you've got the moolah, there's no other option that works even nearly as well. I have it on my tytn, and it's GLORIOUS!

and yes, i've tried: handymap (is ok), garmin (on a nuvi 310, not bad at all) nokia's free thingy on the N95(pretty darn crap) and nav4all(usefull, not great, but free)
