HTC Tytn cant sms anymore...

Hi

Every time I try to send and sms the phone says "Your text message cannot be sent."

I did a soft and a hard reset but to no avail...

I got the phone on Saturday and all was well till yesterday...

Please can someone help me...

I cannot find anything helpful on the net either...

Okay try this ... use another SIM card in the device ... Call me in the morning.
i take it you can make calls .. do you have a dual SIM .. how old is your SIM .

Check you SMSC settings under Settings->Phone->Services

Select 'Voice Mail and Text Messages' and then click on 'Get Settings'

What do you get back? On Vodacom it should be +27829119

When I upgraded on Saturday I also moved up to a Talk500 + the 200 sms bundle.

VC then disabled my outgoing sms's yesterday in the process of loading the sms bundle???? Strange but true.

I should've called them first. I even did that hard reset thing... stupid me...

All is fine now!!! They activated my outgoing sms's again and the engine is running smoothly!

Glad it's working now Your case does point out the need to always logically think what changed that could have affected the setup.

As technies we love to jump straight into the complex stuff, before thinking along more simpler lines.
