Mine was DEFINITELY slower ... general operation wasn't as fast as on Black3.0 That was the 1st thing i noticed as i switched it on - i had that ROM on my phone for all of 10minutes - then installed Black Dymond.

Which was fast again.

The New BT stack in this version ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!! On my CK-7 car kit people can ACTUALLY hear me!!! THANK GOD!! I thought i would have to buy another car kit!!
 
New File Explorer is quite cool. And HTC Audio Manager rocks compare to Media Player..

Does anyone here know what the 'value' in teh regisrty are for notifications?

I wantto deactivate the Low Batt notification that pops up every freekin 2 mins.

I tried value 0, but it doesnt seem to work? Do i need to reset phone to test it out?

after changing the registry, you need to power down the phone by holding in the power button. Then power back up and try it out.

I have noticed that there are a few annoyances - eg sometiems u press the messages button on the top of the phone, and the messages do not appear. Another time i pressed the green dial button to get to the dialpad - and the dialpad didn't show either. But when i pressed it again - it dialed the last number i phoned.

So i think it's not 100% there

but the bluetooth - MAN!!!! Car Kit Quality - That's the ONE thing that i am so happy about!!

If u wanna give it a go - wait for him to release the pimp my black or whatever he calls it - apparently it should be released in the next 2 days or so.

Troubleshooting 101 ... remove the applications and see if your device works properly ... if it does shove the apps on the device again and see what happens.
in cases like these it is a good idea to Hard Reset .. that way you know the Operating System is 100% ... you could uninstall the apps but remember that changes have already been made to the registry .. the uninstall app doesnt completely remove all traces of the add-on apps .. i use Memmaid to clean up my device .. it works like a bomb especially when it comes to keeping your registry in tact ..

HELP: Sleep Of Death!!!!

Most of you will be aware that I have been complaining about this thing recently. What really pisses me of is that, when people call you the phone actually rings (from their side), if they leave you a voicemail then you will get it when you switch the phone On. But if they don't then you wont even get a Missed Call alert:mad: it does not show you the missed calls when you switch it on!! So, if I dont use the phone for a certain period of time (sometimes for over 3hrs) I will be missing phonecalls (well, if I do get calls at that time). So its really annoying not knowing whetehr the phone is On or Off!!

What do you guys recommend? Should I perhaps downgrade my Radio?
Please HELP guys...

Are you on MTN/Vodacom/etc??

I'm on MTN and i get a similiar thing
I always thought it could just be MTN or something

I have experienced this in the past as well on the original Kyphur WM6 versions. No current problems on Black 3.0.

Maybe you should try another WM6 release.

Don't think it is the radio ......... it is the link between WM6 and radio that seems to go into sleep mode.

Might be worthwhile to note what radio versions the developers are using.

Well, I was using the Black 3.0 recently and I hade the same problem...
 
Im on Black3.0.1 Dont have any radio problems.. Wish i could show you my phones uptime.. It hasnt been restarted in over 3weeks.. Thing is running perfect..

EliasMH - I had that problem before.. It was the radio. What radio version are you running?

Same as the one you and most users here are using (1.41).

Do you think I should perhaps downgrade to 1.40/1.38, etc? Well, I am actually thinking of doing just that. Where can I get the links to v1.40 and v1.38?

mmnnn why not try black 3.0.1.. I see black3.5 does have a few problems.. thats why im not running it yet.. im happy with 3.0.1

Basically they eventually found the Chip for the GPS
but nobody could figure out enough power to get thru to it or the antenna or something.

Which is why they decided to probably leave it for the next model from HTC which uses the same motherboard

bottom line - sorry - u can tell ur buddies that u have a GPS phone - but it's disabled

:)
