I havent seen anything advertised about MTN upgrading their Network to 3.6Mbps, can anyone confirm this?

it CONNECTS at 3.6... the PORT speed is 3.6 and this changed a few months back.

if you are observant you will ALSO know that MTN has been slammed because they do not give TRUE 1.8Mbps speeds....

Neither do Vodacom...

So neither of them advertises that.

As i understand it - if you have a USB modem then it will show you 3.6Mbps bit if you have an E620 it will show you 1.8Mbps, whats changed this has always been the case?

The emoze push mail is working for me, so it is unlikely I will get rid of it as I like to be able to use my own domain for sending e-mail.

What is the story with MTN/Vodacom BlackBerry service ? How does it work ?

Forwarding everything to MSN or Gmail is not going to work for me right now.

The OTA sync is faster than MS AS ........ unbelievable.

Also I hate holding the TyTN against my ear and use the BT headset all the time, makes life a lot easier. My 20 most used numbers are on voice dial. Now I just need to save up for one of those Jawbone BT headsets and BT GPS receiver.

Do you know where I can get a Jawbone BT headset from?

I am using the Parrot 3400 LS-GPS unit (Carkit and GPS receiver) with HandyMap ... works extremely well

I am, and it seems OK ......... for now.

Battery is real ****ty, but that has more to do with Black 4 and emoze.

I have tried every ROM out there and am now using Sleuth's New Developer ROM which is must say is a real keeper - battery life is good, dont get dosconnects and its the quickest i have to date. I am also the 1.43 radio and everything is working like a dream

I always try and keep my phone band selection on GSM in order to save battery, but I've recently picked up issues with calls not dialling from the Bruma area in JHB with that setting. When I switch to Auto it picks up 3G and I can make a call just fine, but EISH the battery!

IT's because of the phone trying to be smart and remembering what words u used the last time....

Honestly no - but as I said I have tried all the ROMS to date and had various issues on each and every one of them - best place to look is the thread where its posted:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=313305 check it out but i strongly recommend this ROM.
