HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

HEHEHE @ marine1 ... I just came here to ask the same type of advice :)

Currently running Black Satin. Every now and again something goes bust between my MacBook Pro calendars and TyTN calendars, resulting in duplicate/triplicate and even quadlicate (:D) entries. Normally when that happens, I backup and reflash, so that day has come.

I have the following options basically:

1. TNT 2.0 - not familiar with these ROMs, but they seem nice
2. Schaps 3.60 - Heard only good things about it
3. Black X - Still in RC stage, so not too sure I want to go this route yet, but I won't mind giving it a bash.

Any comments?

I have already downloaded that one as well ... still not sure though ... Maybe you should go TNT, I will go Schaps and then we compare notes?

I installed TNT and Schaps.

Ill be honest with you, I am so used to the black theme and the 2G dialer with the big buttons that i couldnt use Schaps. It ran just as smooth as Satin.

After a day of Schaps I went back to Satin, and installed the new schaps HTC Home v.2.

Couldn't be happier at the moment.

TNT was full of unnecessary applications....

Will be waiting your reviews between TNT and Schaps.

Ok, so I have Schaps installed, and at this point it looks exactly like my Satin did (I can have the 2G dialer, but I want video call, so I have the Schaps 3G dialer)

I replaced Schap's purple themes with JJ's Black Satin one, so it is back to the way it was.
It is definitely quicker than my Satin was.

Only problem I have is that I can't replace the font and icons for Kaiser Home for some reason (and Schap's is in the Windows directory and not a dedicated one)

One nice thing about TNT is that when you dial a number, the second someone picks up, the phone vibrates. Quite nice if you holding the phone away from your ear.

I think there is a cab somewhere available for it ... never knew exactly what it was for

Hmm....

Interesting dudes!

I'm waiting for the verdict!

TNT seems as if it has TOO many proggies that I really don't think i'll land up using any of them!

Downloading Schaps again, and ill let u know how it performs!

Marine1, pls keep us updated on TNT rom so we know how that goes.
Thanx!

I noticed one thing on Schaps ... sometimes the BT will just switch off (saw some threads about that two). When I got in the Landy this morning the Parrot didn't connect, and I couldn't understand why ... checked my TyTN and BT was off ... not a major issue though.

Oh, also a nice feature (I am sure most WM6 roms have this) is the Network setup utility. After flashing and the phone restarted, this little app ran and set up all my MMS and GPRS connections for me ... very cool!

Ok one thing I dont like so far is the File Explorer.

Does anyone know what File Expolorer that Black ROMS use and whether or not there is a CAB available for it?

I'm back onto Satin. Didn't like Schaps, neither Black RC.

Sating to me is still the SMOOTHEST running ROM out of them all......

Haven't tried TNT yet, as I read there is a TNT 3 getting released pretty soon...

TNT seems really fast and the only issue I have is that sometime it goes onto silent by itself. Not sure how or why. Maybe it is just something I am doing. I would have thought the phone would be dog slow but it so far is great with no sleeps of death. IE on this rom is not great. Cannot browse certain pages as banner do not come up. Wierd but really so far it is great. There are many great programs as well.

Apparently that explorer was only designed for the Black ROMS. According to boz, there is no available .cab for it.
