Medium is looking good from where I am sitting, but I might wait untill he doe s version using the same firmware version as WMBE 2.0 ......... or newer.

There seems to be a fair bug list to fix, will wait for 2.1

I am currently using the full version and am so far very impressed, speed and stabillity is the best so far and the apps are also the best so far, one thing is that he has left out HTTweakC so if you found this handy then you have to download it seperatly but i have found this to be the least buggy release so far, also if anyone is doing an upgrade i suggest you follow this guide:

cool.

dutty's a pro from way back, and his rom looks very lekker.

But i'll wait for dutty's next release. Currently my black 2.0 has ZERO problems. so if its not broken, I aint fixin it. nice to have so many options.

Absolutely agree with you.

Black 2.0 Pro is as solid as the official HTC ROMs as far as I am concerned and I will use this release as long as I can. Battery life is much better as well (maybe the updated radio has helped this) and otherwise very happy :D

I also have to agree it will take a lot to tempt me to try another ROM from Black 2.0

Black 2.0 is still doing OK with me, but I decided to test some net apps last night. Phone is still stable, but I get a 100% CPU use on Idle process.

Must be some of the Trinity bits I tried last night. Will ditch everything except the new 10 button Comm Manager.

Anybody have a fix for the "disappearing" ring tones ?

Mine are currently under Application data/ sounds ........ have always kept them here, only under BE 2.0 it has become a problem.

Set up Voice Dialing on my Billionton BT headset, that works great but can't stream audio through it for longer than 10 seconds ........ then it starts playing through TyTN speaker again.

Just downloaded new radio, as I was having endless issues with previous radios.

I am currently on HERM_Radio_Only_1.40.30.00 and i havent experiences anything of yet - holding thumbs.

It is 2PM and my batt is sitting on 80%. With previous RADIO's it would be sitting on 60% now...

My calls are clearer, no dropping of calls, people can atleast get thru to me and my sms's get thru aswell.

Kyphur is definetly taking his time with the .3 release. There's no point downloading Black, as its due to be released one of these days...

My ringtones only disappear when they are stored to the Storage Card.

New Hermes Radio Only - 1.40.30.00
Code:

I installed the new Olipro HardSPLv6. Phone seems to be running alot smoother...

Sorry for going OT, but don't wanna start a new thread for a couple quick questions...

I know they are almost identical, but which is better from a support point of view. I can get an Imate JasJam from VC on a Talk120 for a R2,799.00 whereas the Tytn is R2,999.00. I know it is only R200, but if they are the same, then I might as well save the R200.
Do all the cooked ROM's work on the JasJam as well?

Any particular reason? I'm not a cheap-skate, just asking :D

As far as I know I-mate won't be upgrading the software past WM5 AKU 3.3, while Leaf has confirmed that they will make WM6 available to all TyTN user around June '07.

Good enough reason for you ?

As much as I like dicking around with all the cooked ROM's I would like to have an official version of WM6 ......... eventually. ;-)

I think they got it wrong. It's suppose to be the other way around.

The Jasjam is supposed to be more expensive than the Tytn. The reason why I say so is because HTC is the manufacturer of the Tytn and the Jasjam. i-Mate only brands the HTC phone.

In other words, i-Mate buy the phones from HTC and give it their own branding and calls it the i-Mate Jasjam. So actually the i-Mate Jasjam should be more expensive than the HTC Tytn. i-Mate cant buy the phone from HTC and sell it for cheaper.

Hope this makes sense.

The bottom line is, it's the exact same hardware.

@ Codemaster

get the whichever is cheaper. Internally there is no difference between the two. Any ROM that works on the TyTn will work just as well on the JasJam.

New Radio

Grrr ....... sitting waiting for the battery to charge so I can get the new radio onboard.

Tried last night, but my battery was sitting at 40%

Anyone had any problems or improvements ?

no probs so far.

BTW, you can upgrade even if battery is only at 40% afaik. Just be sure that you have the latest HardSPL installed. then it goes quick quick. :)
