HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Morning all,

I am sure there are not alot of you on the AKU3 ROM, but it's worth a try to ask:

I upgraded last week to AKU3, and since then I have been having endless problems ... struggling with signal, SMS messages sent to me I never get, delivery reports for SMS messages don't come in. Is there anyone having the same type of problems on AKU3?

Sure,no sweat. As a matter of fact I only have a couple of people whom I use video call with (mainly for show off, lol).

But then again, you want all your features to be there, right, Hell Yeah. Otherwise much luv and respect for helping me to pimp my phone.

One question, can we open a thread with links of cool softwares for the TyTN/JasJam (if this does not exist already)?
 
Hey Landyman, I had the exact same problem with AKU3 and smses coming through which lights up the screen but are not shown. I'm back to 1.35 without any problems.

Leaf say they've never heard of this before. The only thing I can think of is a 3rd party program. The only ones I use which are sms related is the group sms one and 02SMSPlus.

Maybe you also running sms apps so we can try fault find which one is causing the sms problems.
 
MTN Data Settings

Hi guys

(First I searched for MMS Settings on this thread and I got nothing).

I have been struggling with my MMS settings since I got the phone. I spoke to the MTN Data people (1555) but the dude I spoke to suggested that I should contact Leaf:confused: ??
So, why don't we add a post that will break down all the Data Settings stuff once and for all?

Can it be very very detailed and step by step.
1. GPRS
2. MMS

...and can we also clarify other settings/connections such as My ISP,My Work Network, etc and explain what they are and how (I know that I can use my pc/laptop internet connection to connect to the net on my phone) but sometimes it confuses me.

I am posting this cause I also need some help with my MMS settings and to understand more about such staff.

If you think this post is of no importance please feel free to say so:D , after all, that's what forums are about:cool:

I am not running anything funny, definitely not anything related to messaging. currently running:
1. X-button
2. PocketBreeze
3. TrayLaunch
4. Skype

That's it, nothing else

Guys, just so you know, this latest sleuth lvsw recook is the bomb! definitely my favourite ROM so far!
 
Well, with the current f@ck up with the AKU3 ROM on my TyTN, I am most probably going to be forced to upgrade to WM6 (and loose my sync software for now) ... oh well, you win some you loose some

Just spoke to Leaf ... They told me I can't revert to an older ROM (and WM6 is only available end of July), so I will be taking the phone there to be tested.

Needless to say I made them understand that their official ROM from their website f@cked up my phone, so they will replace it today still if I feel it is necessary

have you tried resetting the device and using it without the additional apps??
then install the apps one at a time and see if you still get those issues.

remeber when you installing 3rd party apps changes are made to your registry. it could just be that one of the apps did not install 100%
my guess is Pocketbreeze

I am assuming you are talking about a Hard reset? Definitely worth a try I suppose ... Key combo for Hard Reset anybody?

Though ... friend of mine is running PocketBreeze as well, without any problems ... not on AKU3 yet

Pocketbreeze causes known Problems on WM6, not WM5 afaik.

Hard reset:

hold down soft buttons above "MS start" & "ok" on front of device while sof resetting. Press R on keyboard when prompted. Backup everything first!

Maybe try settings saviour first as well. Might restore some of your settings

Copy the contents of this to
\Storage Card\Program Files\SettingsSavior or it won't work.
 
installed Settings Savior, bitching about that it is for a previous version of the phone software, and that it needs .NET mobile framework some or the other
 
Oh, just one thing about the Hard Reset: I install all my apps on the Storage Card ... when doing a Hard reset, will it remove them from there?

Storage card will not be affected ... you will be able to restore the shortcuts to the apps after the device is back up and running:cool:

Hmm, but that will pretty much void the exercise, won't it, as all the apps will still be installed?
