I know you pain I have been trying to get rid of the little battery bar stingy in the top bar. Tried to stick the date and time there, but it just got mangled.

Naah.. Running that fixed version of Shadow with the new Radio 1.43.

Never been so smooth and happy with my phone before..

hehe.. Why do I have to be the guinea!

It's too early to speak, BUT i happen to like this radio ;) My house has terrible signal (keeps on cutting off, struggle to hear people) and with 1.43 my conversation was crystal clear as I was walking around my house even. According to some peeps on 4win.com, battery life is slightly less (which is obviously due to boost in reception). But that does not worry me, as my phone is always near a charger ( Car Carger/PC ).

Just noticed some weird stuff: Whenever I scroll the Jog Wheel it automaticall scrolls the Ringer/Volume. This happens irregardless of whethr I'm at Today Screen, or whatever application. Now this is annoying!!! Could this be a bug, or I may have messed up my settings???
Damit!!!

Ok, it seems all I needed to do is a simple restart!!!

I can now officially confirm that this is one of the BEST ROMS EVER!!!

As anyone else ditched the HTC Home bit ?

What did you replace it with ?

For me it will be a combo deal as no one app can do it all. Looking like PhoneAlarm, BatteryStatus, SPB and O2 plus.

That zobo size digital clock is starting to freak me out.

Remove battery icon and replace with the clock

I read this from the Black Shadow site: http://www.4winmobile.com/forums/he...t-tips-tricks-fixes-black-iv-shadow-here.html

To remove the battery icon on the taskbar and replace it with the clock. You need to reg edit the following:-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/microsoft/shell
Change: ShowTitleBarClock dword=1

I haven't tried it as yet.... Ok, tried it but couldn't fix it???

Replacement LCD screen

@ The Guy or anyone else...

Little off topic I know, but where can one buy a replacement 4.8 x 3.8 cm color LCD screen? Are these screen fairly standard in terms of connectors etc? This screen is not for a cell phone, but it is exactly the same size as my wife's Nokia 6680.

Any thoughts?

There seems to be something missing from that fix ...... I cant find that in my registry ...... not manually or via search.

I second that Elias. This is the best ROM as of yet! I actually had all those apps (02Plus, BatteryStatus, PhoneAlarm and SPB Mobile Shell) and removed them all since HTC Home is quite fine for me. Phone is running alot smoother and startup is quicker without all those 4 apps! Some people don't like the Home plugin, i think its quite usefull.. Any one else try new RADIO yet? Very pleased with it..

What are you going to use it for?

What are you going to use it for?

It is actually for a Logitech Harmony H885 remote - excellent remote that doesn't like being dropped on the floor by little hands. Cracked LCD screen. Remote works perfectly.

I removed the LCD screen itself - remote still works fine if you know what buttons to push. The screen has a white plastic frame "around/behind" it. Only digits on the white bit are:
  • 141192-0000
  • W00500806
  • A5 06 22 003012
It has a thin tape connector coming out of the screen.

Thanks

Mine is: HKEY_L_M/Software/Microsoft/Shell/ShowTitleBarClock
Now, what do I need to do here? I tried to press and hold/then click Edit. But I couldnt - so I got stuck there. I even tried to rename it to: ShowTitleBarClock dword=1 then did a soft reset but it did not fix it!:(

Lemmie see wot i can dig up ... even though the connectors look more or less the same trust me they not ... on most of the PDA's to date the same device had either 1st or 2nd gen LCD's for the same device ... sometimes there where 4 different screens for the same model device .. that cheezed me off hey ... the LCD's are for the same device they look the same but they don't work

I downloaded that lil' cab u posted, does it resolve this battery issue? Its a small thing but its damn ANNOYING!!!

Well if you can get rid of the little battery then this cab will give you the date and time in the same space.

It will mangle the one on the Home screen if the battery is still there. It will display correctly in all other screens if you select "show clock in title bar all programs" Settings/Clock & alarm Tab "More"
