I would not bother with that untill the guys from XDA or 4winmobile have tested it or checked what is under the hood.

Black Majik is kicking ass ............

busy preparing for Black Majik, hence my HardSPL question.
Can I upgrade the radio prior to doing Black Majik?

Sweet MyDraadloos!!! I remember after getting my TyTN I asked for such a comprehensive guideline but the gurus here turned a blind eye!!!

Do you wanna rename the topic/heading to GPRS & MMS SETTINGS so that its easy to search??

Start --> Messaging --> Menu only has Options as a menu item (and Delete but that's greyed out). Then when I choose Options, there is an option for "SMS \ MMS". From there it is not obvious where to go.

Good idea to do the radio 1st then you can check if everything is still working OK. The radio change is usually invisible ..........

Do all your backup's and then you are set to flash the OS.

I have a dedicated folder on my card that holds all my cab files.

Then the rest is the same from step 5

I edited my other post to include this info

Try this:

Start/ Messaging/ SMS\MMS/ Menu/New/MMS/Menu/Options/Message options/ Servers tab...Click on the default settings and modify them

According to the settings listed above by MyDraadloos.

Hope this helps

FFS, my RUUWrapper.exe generates a windows error!!! :(

Sounds like a duff download on a old .net version. You need at least v2.

Download it again ....... if you downloaded it last night via VC your DL would have been interrupted.

What is the size of your file.

Is this the radio or the ROM giving you grief China ?

It's HardSPL giving me crap. Actual file size is 992KB ... downloaded via IS ADSL yesterday. And I am on .Net 3

EDIT: According to the screenshots on mrvanx, my nbh file is not the same size?!

Downloaded it again ... same ****! The day that I actually wanna do this, its not working for me :(

I just used an RUUWrapper from an old ROM upgrade. If you have already downloaded the black majik ROM just open it with WinRAR and extract the RUUWRapper file.

Thanks for the MMS guys. I had actually seen the point nestled in MyDraadloos' post on a second re-read. As i was about to post I had seen it the internet went dead.

MyDraadloos you forgot to mention the correct port number for the MTN settings. (EDIT: I see that both 8080 or 9201 are fine)

One thing I find strange is that they mention you need winRAR for HardSPL, but it is a zip file?!

It's strange that I mentioned WinRAR specifically as well in my post. I didn't know you specifically needed WinRAR but it's my compression tool of choice in Windows. I would normally use a generic term.

I don't use Windows as a rule, so the normal Explorer ZIP functionality is fine for me. I did however try 7-zip and WinRAR now, still no luck :(

But you will only run the.EXE file not the .nbh one.

How about asking someone to mail you the RUUWrapper.EXE file?
Pity I cant cause for some reasons my googlemail does not allow me to mail executable files.

Yes, running the exe causes problems. I downloaded the RUUWrapper.exe from xda-developers again, no luck ... BUT THEN I had a brain fart ... I moved the directory from my USB drive to the actual HDD, and now it runs fine ...
