HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Not feeling up to reinstalling all my apps every second day, I'm still on the original WM5 ROM (1.31.305.2) my device came out with.

OT: I'm on radio 1.41 though.

Edit: How do I get hold of this Esmertec Java engine? (It's not obvious from their website)

I am loving Black Majik ... really nice interface, and it seems very stable. Just need to figure out what other funky stuff to install now ... still 1.5gb free on the MicroSD

Sorry, for WM5 support you will have to contact Leaf ............. The Esmertec Java engine is included in the "Extras" cab package you can download separate from the Black Majik site @ http://wmblack.info/

I would post it here but that is not possible.

Loving it as well, only gripe is that Media Player won't play files on my SD card or even add them to the library. I think it's gonna get the boot and be replaced with GS Player or the like.
 
I am just so glad to be rid of Leaf's damn green colour scheme, Majik could have been the biggest load of crap and I still would have loved it :D

My WM player works like a charm (all my tracks are on the storage card). But I prefer the Audio Manager!!! That Home Plugin Player is just too sweet!!! Now, I will load more tracks on my card.


However, I HATE THE Black Today Screen. I replaced it with Crossbow Theme.

I love this ROM!!!

Looks like it will play just about alles with the added wma codecs.
 
Seems all I had to do was to change the settings in the Today from WMP to HTC Audio Manager. Now the Today audio plugin is works 100%.

Works beautiful, but can't get it to transfer to my BT mono headset.
 
I have noticed that the in-call volume on Black Majik is quite low, and it doesn't seem to save the volume settings when I change it during a call ... anyone else noticing this, and whether there is a fix available?
 
marine1: Press the ok button on the side of the phone, together with the power button and do a soft reset with the stylus

Something I have noticed about the 1.43 radio is that it takes a very long time to initiate a call on VC.

I am not entirely sure if this is the radio or network related. This morning I must have sat for 20 sec before hearing the phone dialing the other party.

I run always on GPRS connection for Windows Live and emoze push mail, but I don't think it is GPRS data related. I am not missing any incoming calls, just seems like it is taking a long time to connect with the tower or some .........

I'm experiencing the same problem with radio 1.43. It takes ages to make the phone call. Or it just says 'Call Ended' and i need to redial atleast 3-4 times till the call goes through!!

Apparently it's network related, but I dont know what to think. All the other peeps reckon 1.43 is the best radio as of yet, maybe its just VC! :( after all they are experiencing and overload of users..
 
Hi All;

A couple of nights ago, Limnos replied to a request of mine with the steps to follow so that I could get WM6 Black Majic on my phone as well as 1.43 radio version.

I just want to tell you all that I have managed to do this and am VERY impressed with Black Majic, although my battery only lasts about 12 hours...

Now I have downloaded all the Enchantments to my laptop, but how do I actually load these on the TyTN?

Glad to hear that buddy

If its an exe file, then just run it from your laptop while your phone is connected via Active Sync.

If it's a Cab file (like a zip/rar file) transfer it to your phone via Active Sync, then run them from your phone using File Explorer.

What GSM settings are you using? I had the same issue, but I have my Network set to GSM and the GSM/UMTS set to GSM (900+1800) + UMTS(2100) which works much better for me. I don't use my phone for Internet connectivity and mostly for calls only. The GSM setting above is used by all Operators in SA so it should work fine and my battery life has increased significantly with this setting.
