All directed at 212:
The only con to Black Majik is that it doesn't have a "native black Majik" Video dialer ... not a big problem though, as you can still install the Shadow's Video dialer ... it just won't look at pretty as the Black Majik/Touch/Kaiser interface. Other than that, it is just peachy - personally running it. Oh, if you haven't downloaded it yet, it won't be available from wmblack.info anymore ... Only Black Satin
Black Majik has a lot more features than WM5, as it be based on the pre-release WM6 ROM ... Black Satin is based on the official WM6 ROM.

According to Leaf they will be releasing the official WM6 ROM at the end of the month, and yes, something like Black Majik/Satin ROM flashing will void your warranty ... so if you are worried, wait for the official WM6 ROM (which is p!ss fast btw, but quite light weight if you ask me), and then start installing different cabs to get it to what you want it to be.

On top of my Black Majik, I am running the Kaiser Comm Manager (added Internet sharing button), Colour icons for the Today screen (looks all purty now), 5 button today plugin (auto ringtone is quite cool)

I see Black Satin is still not released ... think JJ is struggling more than anticipated
 
How many have tried Black Satin? Is it any better than Black Majik?

The 1st release of Satin had some issues and the Author subsequently pulled the download links. The fixed version should be up very soon.

I recon most of us serial flashers will end up with Satin as JJ usually tweaks the performance a bit. Some of the early Official WM6 flashers have reported that it's very stable and fast. It lacks some features though, so you will most likely end up with a Vanilla WM6 and install some of your favorite cabs.

So upset Satin will be the last cooked ROM from JJ. I'm sure he'll still cook up a new HERMES ROM every now and again.

Apparently he is moving on the Ultimate range... They look quite sexy..

Does anyone know when that range is arriving in SA?
 
thank goodness i never flashed my fone.

why do u guys flash it if u know it voids your warentee? what about your device that could maybe get bricked during the process?
gonna spend allotta cash repairing it or maybe just something wrng with it generally? jogdial faulty, keyboard dnt wrk etc?

can u notify me when leaf releases the rom?

maybe u should read a few of the thousand messages that has been written on this thread..... u can flash it to whatever.... and u can flash it BACK to normal.... and nobody on here has ever bricked it... search for SSPL, it prevents bricking

Dude you should get out more to get rid of this paranoia of yours - ;)

I would actually welcome it if Leaf would read this forum. We have so many guys here that could have assisted in their Beta program for WM6. The local guys are so far behind it's not funny. If you can read and follow instructions you can successfully flash your phone with no problems. I, and so many others here, have done it plenty of times and our phones still work.

The look is very "old" :D ... I prefer the black/touch/kaizer look ... I am staying on Black Majik for now, until we get the official Leaf update (or maybe go Black Satin) ... Will install the Leaf WM6 ROM, and add all my touch/Kaizer cabs ... if it is still fast and stable, I will stick to it. Feedback I have received (and seen) is that the official WM6 ROM is very quick, and stable

Yes it has quite a K@K look!!! i will regedit the kaizer cabs too soon
 
ok Radio 1.47 has just caused a BEEP BEEP BEEP when i tried to call!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH i should have stayed on 1.38!!!! THat hardly EVER happened!!!

I just rebooted it... lets see if it works now!

Because life ain't worth living if it is not on the bleeding edge.

I think you should sign up to the Leaf forum, they will let you know when there is a new Rom from them.
 
true, whats the use of gettng a pocket pc if you dont take it to its optimum level :)
 
Radio 1.48 is out already..

Im on 1.47 and very happy. I can hold the phone with my right hand whilst speaking and not get bad signal now!!! yay...

What are you guys using for audio / video consumption on your TyTN/Jasjam devices? (specifically on WM5)

Leaf mentioned that they "might" realease WM6. Not certain. If they do, then maybe by the 12 August or so. But they have not confirmed this.....:rolleyes:
