nooooooooooooooo .... what ROM did you have on the device before it stopped working? and What version of the OEM rom did you try installing?

Ok, phone bricked with the new 1.54 radio
stuck on the red, green and blue screen.

I am going into a meeting now ... If any of you guys have some time now, can you please look on xda how to recover from this (the recovery from the "flash console" failed)

Thanks a million!

........ and here is another reason why I would not touch that Radio with a 10-foot pole.

Tjom, jou draadloos is gefo k!

I think it might be a good idea to try the original ROM.

I was on Black X RC, tried re-flashing that, as well as the AKU3 Rom ... no joy.

Flasing from SD didn't work either

But i don't understand... you've got that olipro thing... i thought that was meant to prevent crap like this happening

I have done a couple of hard resets.

Just did one now to get power to the device ... now stuck on the Black X splash screen. It seems to get a bit further every time I start it up ... might have it working by x-mas time :D

I remember when i had my 1st bricked phone..

nothing worked for me either - i tried various roms untill i did the following:
Get it to the Red Blue Green Screen by holding in the OK and the Power button - and pressing the soft reset button with the stylus.

Then connect the device to your computer so that the "Serial" thing becomes "USB"
Once i had that working - and was sure the computer saw the phone - i used the original LEAF WM5 Rom and it recovered it.

Been there done that ... at first it got stuck on that screen, now it gets to the splash screens and then hang ...

On 22% of the AKU3 ROM.
Two things to remember:
1. ALWAYS flash with a SIM card in the device ... me == idiot
2. Do not try to run any firmware upgrades from a networked drive (due to my Parallels setup I map a couple of drives, one being where all my downloads are). I actually figured this out when starting to flash my device a while back, but completely forgot about it today when trying to flash a official ROM ... me == idiot

Will let you know how it pans out.
Anyone want to buy a 7 hour old N95? :D

Woot!

I don't think I have ever been so happy to see that butt ugly green WM5 startup screen!! :)

Thanks for all the ideas, prayers and snickering (yeah, I know some of you went tee-hee-hee) behind your hands.

Seems like I am back online

Also remember not to unplug USB devices with Parallels without doing it the proper way (ie. stop it 1st)

I had my USB E220 plugged into my last USB socket - I just pulled it out without stopping it - and the computer had some issues actually seeing the phone.
I guess in a perfect world you need to reboot your pc/mac/parallels before you flash your phone.
And not do it via the network drive - i've also had some issues with that before and therefore always copy it to the parallels drive before i flash it.

I usually also don't have any other USB devices plugged into my computer when i flash my phone - and leave it pretty much alone before i continue to use it.
