HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

To the user looking for screen protectors : if for the TYTN, you can get it at the PDA shop in the MIchaelangelo for R70
Have a look at invisibleSHIELD from www.shiekdzone.com.

I have ordered from them directly and the protection is outstanding. Received my screen protection a few days ago. Really outstanding product.

Pay once, protect forever - indeed.

I have bought screen protectors from Leaf last week as their stock just arrived - R70

Yeah if you haven't d/l the sunlight tool yet, now is a good time. This probably the coolest app. for this phone.

Simple and sufficient.
And the web link to this sunlight tool is where on this 'going to 100 pages' thread please?

Those are very good, but don't use the screen overlay. Rather get one from boxwave or Martin Fields, Exim Spuc, M3 or leaf. The invisible shield overlay is not very sensitive and makes the touch screen less responsive.

I've ordered an aluminium case for my TyTn. I'm just afraid of what will happen if I drop it from my ear. Maybe I'll het an invisible shield too, but I'll see.

Yeah, you are right. You CAN buy a cheap screen protector at 35 bucks and replace it every 6-12 months. Or you can buy a proper one, with anti-glare, matt surface for stylus writing, washable and anti fingerprint that lasts for 3 years for a 100 bucks.

Another thing guys, we are now up to 61 pages on this thread - the first 50 pages about people waiting for the device. Should we start a new thread? There's no way newcomers are going to read through everything, I know i wouldn't.

Yea ok.. That also, what if you scratch it very bad the first month.. :p heheh

at the end of the day you would be better off with a screen protector .. no matter what it costs cos LCD's are pricey ...

Ok maybe some of you TYTN gurus could help me out here ;) . I currently have Phone Alarm installed on my device and delivery notifications set on. The thing is it becomes really annoying to have the delivery notification appear as a message and stay there 'till it's dismissed. What makes it worse is that I have Phone Alarm configured to keep alerting me should I miss a message. My old Sony Ericsson had a system where the delivery report would just attach itself to the original message so as not to make me think I had received an actual message, but I could still see if it was delivered.

I have searched high and low for something that could achieve this but to no avail. I thought maybe a work around would be to have an app where it would divert messages received by system administrator into another folder or even just mark them as read. That way it would not show up as 1 unread message in my inbox...

Maybe I am missing somthing much simpler, any ideas?

Sorry mate, no idea. I don't know phone alarm, and there aren't a lot of settings for delivery notification. The only thing you cold consider is changing your text message received notification, so that it does not stay on screen. Not a very good solution though.

sorry, I just couldn't bear seeing this thread on page 2...

How have you guys setup:

1. Video calling, and
2. MMS?

Okay peeps, herewith "upgrading your TyTn, Lesson 1"

To check your bootloader version, hold in the "ok" button on the right and the power button on the left simultaneously with pressing the soft reset on the bottom with your stylus for about 2 secs. A three colour screen will apear, stating " SPL x.xxx " if it is 1.04, you are A for away. If not:

Is this assuming the device is upside down? The power button on my TyTN is on the left as the screen faces me. There is an OK button on the side on my ledt, and on the face of the unit there is a button with OK on the right.
