HTC TyTN / Imate JasJam

Please can someone give us a local or at least a valid International link to Black 2.0. I've also noticed that when I receive calls lately the Tytn does not display the callers number even though I have it in my contacts. Anyone else notice this with Black 1.2?

Hi Guys,

i have been following this thread for a while now. i have had my TYTN for almost 2 months now and loving it!

im running Black 2.0, Radio - 1.38.30.10...

i am using the vodacom network and since ive installed the black ROM's, i have been having trouble recieving MMS messages from every network except from vodacom. if a vodacom subscriber sends me a mms, no problem, but mtn, cell c, or virgin it simply tries to download all day.

i can however send to all networks and everyone recieves the message.

any suggestions?

Did you use a CAB file to configure your MMS settings or was it setup manually?

are there any other Black 2.0 Users out there with the same problem ??? i doubt it is a ROM cos i came across a similar issue in the past with one user ... i cant remember off hand what the fix was for his hiccup ...

so first question is are the Black 2.0 users experiencing this problem ???

well, when i first installed black 1.2, i installed with the cab file and thats when everything started...

so i loaded black v2 and set up all the connections manually and still the same problem...

im busy downloading the LSW version now and gonna install it and see if its the rom, my phone or what... vodacom claims everything from their side is fine...

will keep you guys posted..

I set mine up manually using a file that The Guy or dotVibe had put together.

After my 2nd flash to WMXDA 1.2 I had similar problems with MMS. This was because I used the cab file. Managed to fix it with some input from Leaf.

-there are 2 check boxes here. Make sure that the first one (this network connects to the internet) IS ticked, and the second one (this network uses a proxy...) is NOT ticked.

-click "ok" and exit settings

Now go to start then messaging

-there is a drop down box at the top left that should say “inbox or outbox” or what ever you were last viewing

-click on this drop down and choose MMS

-menu

-Tools

-options

-choose "accounts" (tab at the bottom)

-click on "MMS" in the box

-tick “retrieve messages immediately”

-Untick “download on home network only”

-tick “save sent messages”

-Untick “reject all messages”

-click server (tab at the bottom)

-click new

-server name: MMS Vodacom

-gateway: 196.6.128.6

-port number: 9201

-sever address: http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za

-connect via: MY WORK NETWORK

-sending size limitation: 250K

-WAP version: WAP 1.2

Don't realy use MMS that much, considering it costs the same as a SMS one should use it more ....... a picture tells a 1000 words and all that jazz.... bla bla fishpaste.

Waiting for King Rob to send me an MMS so I know if my settings is working.

ok, no go... everything is still white... i cant even see the buttons to enter my pin... any suggestions guys

What does this mean? (From xda website)

[DECOMISSIONED] Windows Mobile VI Pro - Black 2.0 [NO LONGER SUPPORTED]
THIS ROM IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED AND FUTURE BLACK ROMS WILL NOT BE RELEASED PUBLIC ON XDA_DEV. READ FROM POST 3 to REALISE WHY!

One thing noobs that have migrated from HOFO must realise - YOU CANNOT HAVE YOU CAKE AND EAT IT TOO!

seems like there is some politics..

read here:

hi everyone,

this message does not apply to the members of this community that post real questions or share knowledge. it applies to leeches that grab work for granted whinge and cry when things dont work for them.

well, to cut a long story short, i wont be releasing any new builds from this point forward. I wil only post download links to certain forum members from a secure download site.

if noobs clean up their act and stop irritating ppl (including irritting me to a point where all hell breaks loose) then maybe I will reconsider what I hae just posted.

therefore black 2.0 has been decomissioned and no support will be given from this point forward, in addition to future releases uf upcoming RTM builds.

I have been collecting a list of ppl from this thread and i have added them to my list for future (near future) updates.

Enjoy Xda devs and please dont make it into HOFO.

yeah, bound to happen sometime.

That's why it's cool to have a separate forum for a group of people like us, with similar carriers & issues.

I agree with u there dotVIBE, but like mentioned in the xda forum, only few selected members of that site will get the new cooked ROMS which pretty much sucks.. Ag, im sure some member will post mirrors of them - and then we can discuss our own issues here...
