Brought a Tytn back from UK, bought sim free, used Virgin UK sim for several weeks. Back in SA I loaded Virgin SA standard sim and a 128k Virgin sim. Neither work, system freezes when make first call and says No sim installed. All other functions OK. (Both work in my Samsung E330).
Sorry to report that same occurs with Vodacom sim. But the good news is that all works fine with MTN. Go figure.

I tried a collegues VM sim in my TYTN and it also didn't work. However, they sent him a replacement 128k SIM last week, which I tried and it did work. Still too slow for my liking though
