HTF Do I get a Tax Clearance Certificate

Hi,

So I've registered with SARS and have a Income Tax Number for the business but on the furking eFiling site you can't seem to pull it because I haven't registered for Income Tax.
Anyone gone through this and able to provide some assistance?

Yes, I have called the call centre and the lady wasn't very helpful to be honest. Your assistance will be appreciated.

You need to go to the branch.
 
I'm registered for eFiling which is what is required unless I am missing something.
How can I have a Income Tax number but not be registered for Income tax :wtf:
 
Basically, have you or have you not visited a SARS branch to verify your identity, as stated in the link?

If not, you'll have to go to the branch first. No ifs or buts.
 
I have not had to visit SARS when I registered for tax. I just mailed them the company registration certificate. This wasa a few months ago, so not 100% sure about what else I sent them.
 
You don't need to go in to SARs to get a tax clearance since the implementation of the new tax compliance system.
 
Login on your efiling profile, click on tax status, request new pin and if all is in the Green you should be able to print it from there.
 
I should note that I can access that on my personal eFiling page.

When did you add the tax number on your profile?

If you click on organisation, tax types, the different tax numbers should be successfully registered. Normally take a day or two.

Nothing on my end is entered or ticked.
Setup my eFiling at the beginning of the month. Registered business a month before that.

Make sure you on the company profile. Click on tax types and enter the tax numbers you have. You mentioned that you have an income tax number for the company. Put this number into the Provisional Tax (IRP6) and the Organisation Tax boxes. Tick those boxes and click on register at the bottom. It should state "pending registration" next to those tax types. As oon as it changes to successfully activated, you should be able to get the TCS system working.

I could kiss you right now :)
I ticked, the box and it seemed to work as I was successfully registered.

Went to request the clearance and didn't get the big red bars from earlier :)
