Hi All

Not sure if this is contravening any forum rules, but i wanted to showcase a job our small team has just completed for the Absa Cape Epic Mtn Bike race. Our client is Tracker, and we were commisioned to build a site, where users can live track actual riders in the race, as well as have the chance to play an online game that runs simultaneously with the race. Mods, if i'm stepping on any toes, pls remove this post ;)

any feedback would be cool...

I think it is great. My only comment is this page: http://trackerrideepic.co.za/register?BackURL=tfr

It is unclear whether or not the Allow and I agree boxes are checked or not. The reason I say this is because I would THINK that green means ticked but it loads with green already and I would think that these two options should be explicitly agreed rather than preselected. On my screen size, the top bar's shadow covers the Cape Epic and Ridefree logos ever so slightly.

But those aside, if I gave a crap about cycling I would bookmark this site - beautiful.

Thanks for the feedback, i agree the check boxes are a little ambiguous ;( As far as the different screen resolutions are concerned, its ben a bit of a learning curve - on the lower resolutions, it gets a little cramped, and looks cluttered. Thanks for checking it out ;)

Pleasure. Others will provide feedback. Here's a screen snapshot of my 13"MBP showing the site so you can see the flow. It is not too cramped - just a little at the top:

1390x892 (vb will resize it)

EDIT: it occurs to me I should have had porn tabs and bookmarks in the snapshot. For that omission I do apologise

An issue i need to address is designing on a 17"MBP, and having loads of clean space, only to see my errors in a live (and way too late to rectify) environment...

An issue you need to address, is the state of your tabs at 11pm. no filth = unforgivable.

Use XScope for that - I got it with one or other bundle and it does an okay job. https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/13307/xscope

I can't have filth - I was at my GF's place and I don't have a gun or stumps or cricket bat so we'd end up having to talk about it like adults instead of resolving it properly like celebrities. :D

Site looks great at 17" MBP res...

Sorry you feel that way, but thanks for feedback, appreciate it

The game was built using impactJS, the live tracking is just Google maps API , and it all runs on a Silverstripe backend
