HI there

Im a bit new to web design, and just have a little dumb question

When you download an HTML Website template off the internet, can you edit these templates in WYSIWYG software?

I am using Coffee Cup Visual Site Editor, and it only has about 6 templates, so I need to find out how to use these HTML templates off the internet

thank you

You can edit the themes with WYSIWYG software but I don't suggest it. I would suggest using notepad and look through the code for what you want to edit.

May I add that using free themes for a business site is really unprofessional. If you just want to play around with sites and learn html thats also cool but then learn html from scratch not editing free themes.

I agree. If it is propper themes there should be nice comments telling you where to put your content and links. Also try notepad++ it does syntax highlighting and has loads of other usefull features.

I like free html templates it is a quick way of making my forms look better then just textboxes on a white background. I don't care but my users do.

Ps. It is rude to remove the link to the original theme from the footer ;)
