My PSU

1 cable with 1 PCI-E
1 cable with 2 SATA's
1 cable with 1 IDE(primary) and 1 SATA(secondary)
2 cable's with 2 IDE's

I would very easily be able to install 2 SATA drives and 1 SATA DVD/BR drive with given cables and compartments.

And I know the mede8er is a great piece of kit, but I've decided I actually want the flexibility gained from a full PC with a proper OS.
 
So got everything yesterday, and dam, I really hope I do not need to build another mATX machine soon. Gimme nice big cases :D Everything seems fine, didnt have time to install Windows yet though. Did test out the remote on another machine, and it really does not like Media Player Classic. None of the buttons on the remote do the right function. What program you using to play videos Krypt0n1te?

If you use MediaPortal, you can just select which remote you have, and everything works perfectly. No setup or config needed.
 
As mentioned I use XBMC on my HTPC absolutely awesome, ask if you need help with that. Just PM me.
For music I use VLC. I will check out WMPC, I don't really use WMPC but only WMPC HC, haven't tried it with remote though.

Anyone else have experience with this remote and XBMC. Mine is being very stubborn :(

I use that remote with XBMC, u only need to use the arrows, back button and OK button for XBMC. No recoding special functions or anything like that needed. just plug and play. The rest of the remote is for WMC... if u use it, I dont.

Ya ok, mine also works with arrows. But would be nice to also get the volume keys to work, and a few other things like the info button.
 
Well, you can remap the keys, they explain more or less how to do it in the XBMC wiki. I tried, but gave up.... beyond my capabilities /patience levels. I adjust the volume with the arrow keys, a little longer, but nothing to stress about. Also depends on which skin you use. I find the PM3.HD is the best for me.

This is what I'm struggling with. All the remapping programs dont even pick up that I'm pressing any keys. So unable to remap anything, sigh

lol, i farked around for a couple of hours, trying to understand it all. Just when I thought I had it tapped, it did nothing! I might give it another look some time in the future, but like I said, I'm used to just using the arrows now. So I dont see the need to do it!
 
Just to irritate ppl even further...

I came across this yesterday and it looks like you'll be able to use your iphone/ipad to control your media center with a VERY slick interface soon... :)

Any of you use the Yammm movie scraper ??? Mine does not seem to work any more? Any sugestions / alternatives?
